May Pages

Hi Guys,

I've been busy creating and forgetting to blog.  I have been hard at it creating pages with Kraft Card of my beautiful Son.  My current quote about him is. "A smile that can break hearts and a noise that can break glasses".  Haven't created the right layout yet to use it but I'm sure it won't be long.

LOL - Laugh out Loud
Here is my layout for the Kraft it Up May Challenge which was not to use pattern paper. It features paint and masking for the title and boarder.  It has my journalling messily machine stitched on and my made up creation I call as pleated bracket.

My Boys
This layout features Kraft Stock teamed with Kaiser Crafts Lone Ranger papers.I have torn, rolled back, wet and distressed papers to form a frame for my photo and crazy machine stitched around the edges .With the large peal back I have secured it in place with a vintage button. In the top right corner I have made my own rosette embellishment which is raised up with foam dots. I have taken a large circle from the lone ranger paper and curled ribbon on the back and topped it off with a stuff 2 Scrap star that has been Maya misted. I have also Maya misted a Tim Holtz frame, Scrapmatts Flourishes and miscellaneous chipboard letters.

Logan's Tongues
This layout features Kraft Stock teamed with Basic Grey and Bazzil card.  I have cut a BG frame and distressed the edges with my Heidi Swapp distresser.  I have then secured it in place with a line of hand stitching.  On a hand cut banner I stamped Logan with my Memory Makers magnetic stamps.  On my flags I have used Basic Grey Stickers as a mask and dragged an ink pad over textured Bazzil to give a washed effect. The edge of the flags and 3 photos have been distressed with my trusty BG emery board to give a clean line.
Well I think I need to get in touch with my girlie side and do a layout of my big girl Darla.  She has just decided that she wants to scrapbook with Mummy.  I have set aside a box of left over papers and she has her own stamps, ink and pencils.  She knows not to touch Mummy's  papers or she won't be allowed to Scrapbook anymore.  So far she has created some get well cards for her preschool teachers borrowing a few of my Get well stamps and a few flowers.  I forgot to take a photo.  Will take try and take a photo for next blog.  Till next time.  Thanks for dropping by - mich

Logie Bear - Scrap The Boys

Aprils Challenge at “Scrap the Boys” was to create a layout inspired by what your son or Hubby was wearing. “Logie Bear”is a rustic layout with distressed edges on its boarder and freehand machine stitching. The blue in the layout mirrors Logan’s swim suit complemented by the hand cut crab and fish which have been sprayed with Maya Mist to add dimension.

Smile Logan - Kraft it up April Layout

Thank you to the lovely Girls at Kraft it up for their April 1,2,3,4,5 Challenge. It kept me on my Toes.
I had to include the following items in my layout.
1). Kraft Stock
2). Photos under 6x4
3). Alphas
4). Different pattern papers
5). Different Embellishments.
“Smile Logan”, is a very bright and fun layout. There are so many bright papers it was important to draw your attention to the photos. I did this by machine embroidering a platted paper garland. This is teamed with a hand painted Rx laser cut chipboard Lady Bug which has had Dimensional Magic to give it a 3D glossy effect. There are numerous machine stitching techniques anchoring the beautiful “Echo Park Little Boy”, “Paper Loft Dude” and “Bo Bunny” papers.

April White with 1

Hi Guys,

Its been a long time between posts. We have just finished "Mad March" which meant there was very little time for Scrapbooking. On the upside I have taken heaps of new photos to crop.

Here is my layout for WW1 challenge WHITE + OLIVE GREEN + TWINE.It features a technique I call dry brush stencilling on the "Here". It also has an oversized floating twig flag. Thank you for the challenge guys.

Laughter - White with One Challenge

Hi All,

Here is my laayout for the Challenge over at White with one. It was Vintage with brown and white.

I have used vintage guipure lace and vintage swiss lace insert. It also features distressing on the background paper with walnut ink. The stripe paper is invidually cut BG Port Periphery. I have roughly painted the chipboard to give a rustic look.

Thanks for the challenge.
